Who We Are

Critical Infrastructure Behind Everyday Life

The International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA) is the leading advocate and primary resource for the liquid terminals industry.

OUR Global Network

A Global Member Network

ILTA members operate across the United States and internationally, providing the storage and transportation logistics that move essential liquid commodities through global supply chains and fuel economies worldwide.

Terminal Operators

ILTA’s terminal members operate liquid terminals and above-ground storage tank facilities that serve as key links in the nation’s supply chain. These facilities connect with major modes of liquid transportation, including ships, barges, tank trucks, railcars, and pipelines, to provide critical storage and handling services for essential products.

The products stored and handled by terminal facilities include chemicals, crude oil, petroleum products, renewable fuels, asphalt, animal fats and oils, vegetable oils, molasses, fertilizers, and other bulk liquids. These facilities serve a broad customer base, including oil producers, chemical manufacturers, food producers, utilities, transportation companies, commodity brokers, government agencies, and the military.

Industry Suppliers

ILTA supplier members provide the equipment, technologies, services, and expertise that support the design, construction, operation, maintenance, and modernization of liquid terminal facilities. Their capabilities include engineering, permitting, automation, inspection, environmental services, specialized equipment, and other solutions that help terminals operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Working alongside terminal operators, ILTA supplier members help address complex operational challenges while supporting the continued advancement of the liquid terminal industry.
